Thank you to everyone who applied for the Welcoming Committee these past few weeks! I say that wholeheartedly and unabashedly. I wish I could take everyone with me; those of you who were declined this round, I hope you apply, both to this position and others on the site in the future.
Luna Morn, Anarie de'Thain, Ahmyra al'Ruley, Kveldolf Tikvah, and Leo Kian Sedai. Thank you for all that you've done! I'm not going to lie, it's been a wild ride as we tried and tested the new Welcoming Committee structure like a treacherous bobsled adventure. But you know, sometimes you just have to tuck in and see where the ride takes you! I think we've created quite an interesting structure with the specializations. We've traded around responsibilities, built records from scratch, discussed and explored the direction of the department and our roles, run awesome events... We've set up new groundwork that I believe the Membership Department will only continue to build on in the future. You should feel proud for what you've done. And again--thank you so much for your hard work! I, for one, appreciate you!

But you might be thinking, "What? The numbers are all wrong! There's only one Architect and two Scribes!" Well, those positions were very popular for some reason. We have a very healthy mix of membership groups here, although Cold is all by his lonesome as the single lonely Architect. Can he do it, ladies and gentlemen? Can he do it? I'm sure between all of us on the new Welcoming Committee team, we'll make it happen.
