The five year anniversary of Jim's death made me think about how he had impacted my life, and what he meant to me- while I posted that on dragonmount when he passed, I was curious if there was a section somewhere on Tar Valon that had to do with just how he had impacted the lives of his readers, especially those whom he moved enough to find and join a community like this.
Was there maybe a thread on the old forums that cataloged this, or an article that ran in the times? Or is there a permanent section of the site somewhere that does? If not, could there be?
If nothing else, it would be nice for those who survive him to be able to remember him through not only his works, but in the difference that he made in the lives of those around him. Whether that was to a student he taught, or by someone who read his books in a time where they really needed a pick me up, as I did.
