In between digital art projects, I've been getting back into embroidery. The one on the left got a bit knocked upside down, but it's going to be a brown Ajah symbol with the white flame. The moon is a tea towel for a friend, and... what I am MOST proud of....

Vampire Bunny outfits~

The idea of the Vampire Bunny comes from Jillian Venters, a dear acquaintance and Fairy Gothmother to many. Aunt Jilli taught me how to add fangs to these sweet Jellycat brand stuffed rabbits, and I learned how to hand sew the outfits myself. This one is wearing a cotton gauze shirt in crocheted lace edging with a poly-blend lace jabot on a velvet-trim ribbon. The draw string cuffs and collar are done with crimson embroidery silk.

And heh... don't misunderstand me. I'm old enough to have been caught in the C&Ds/suing era of Anne Rice. While I mourn the passing of a prolific author whose work touched many... I do not want to overly lionize her either. She was a bigot and a narcissistic personality whose view of her own work flip-flopped depending on her religious stance that day. Hers was not a safe fandom to be in, at any point in time.

Is there anything a new member who wants to become recognized Aes Sedai should keep in mind, in your opinion?

You can get all of the technical details from the library and stickied threads, so I won't repeat those. I think an important thing for new members to keep in mind is that it's a long process to become an Aes Sedai or Gaidin (every rank other than Citizen has minimum time requirements), and that the Hall looks at how well you've integrated into our community for every raising (also other than Citizen). That doesn't mean you have to be super active, though. It's more qualitative than quantitative.

And also over in the Discussion Halls here on the forums. "Makerspace" has threads for works in progress, completed projects, questions, etc.
