Thank you all for the kind welcomes! It is good as another said to be home again. I look forward to reacquainting myself with those who have been here before, and meeting those who joined more recently.

Good morning, Luna Sedai!

It seems fairly well the same, thought it looks as though Raisings might have been altered since I was last here. I'm sure the member manual has the answers to most things, and I do love a good hour spent on research. Is there anything a new member who wants to become recognized Aes Sedai should keep in mind, in your opinion?

My apologies for the belated response, yesterday was... a lot. :x I will second what Elania said - community involvement is one of the most important things, but having seen how you've been interacting just in this thread alone, I don't think you will have any trouble with that. There are many ways one can do that, but for the time being, as relatively new as you are, I suppose just take your time exploring and feel free to ask questions along the way - there is quite a bit to each rank. Another thing that might have changed is Integration; any gender can become either Aes Sedai or Gaidin nowadays, so you are no longer limited to just one path. For now, that's all that comes to mind, but it's only 7:38 am here, so there's still time. :shifty

Thank you for your response, Luna Sedai! I understand that there's been some upheaval recently and senior members are dealing with the fallout of that. Whatever time you all need is fine, and I am very glad to have waited for your response! Knowing that anyone can be either is marvelous, particularly as my own nonbinary nature means I might now be a bit uncomfortable in a purely female space. Welcoming NB Aes Sedai and Gaidin is a wonderfully inclusive step forward. Thank you for again for informing me!

You're very welcome! While Ajah spaces are no longer purely female, and Company spaces no longer purely male, they are still predominantly so, at least for the time being. Just keep on as you are and you will get to know quite a few of us out and about, and then when you are at the rank of Accepted/Soldier, you will also be able to guest with each Ajah and Company more privately, in order to get to know them even better and figure out where your home might be. :pleased-1: But yes, all in good time! Don't feel rushed.

I second the sentiment on not being rushed. There’s plenty to do at any rank and no one treats you differently because you’re new/returning. Or a lower rank. At least, that’s been my experience. It’s really Journey Before Destination here.

And if you have any questions, or just want to chat, I’m always available!! I’m transgender and I’m newer so I can understand at least a little bit of what you’re going through and maybe might be a little less intimidating than approaching a Senior Member. Though, they’re all wonderful and nice.

I had noticed that as well, and I agree that everyone has been quite kind to me on my first day back! And thank you, truly, for your offer Nadezhda, I will keep it in mind. :)
