Is there an option for a dark mode theme on the forums, and if not could we consider offering one? Even something like the Black Ajah theme (minus the busy background) would be an improvement! For some reason, the dark gray on light gray gives me headaches if I spend too much time on the site.

I'd really like to see a dark mode as well, if it is at all possible. It helps with my ADHD and allows me to focus better.

You can already use the Black Ajah theme for the rest of the site. If you go up to your user controls and click preferences, there should be a drop down menu in there that says "style" to choose the Black Ajah skin.

I wouldn't mind seeing a darker theme of what we've got right now, too, like a Tower at night. It doesn't bother me as much when I'm at the computer, but if I'm checking in through my phone or tablet, I do get a little squinty. :myrddraal

As far as I know the Black theme will be sticking around.

I can talk to Jaryd/Mendo about an official Dark theme, it has been on the radar for a while

Yup, let's chat! I have skills and resources to offer. <3

For the rest of you: there's no timeline so I wouldn't hold your breath or anything, but we're on it.

In the meantime the black ajah helps. I had to resort to Samsung internet dark mode for the past couple of years due to having eye problems so I'm really looking forward to seeing more accessibility on the boards ;)

Mother Wolf, do you by any chance see a lot of lines in your vision when you look away from reading text sometimes, and it takes a bit for them to blink out of your vision, like they have been burned in briefly? This happens to me sometimes... sometimes computer glasses help (those yellow color tint ones).

*growls in frustration*

No, one of my eyes is legally blind and photosensitive very often, I get major headaches in bright light so I have to wear sunglasses at work
