Hi all! I created a profile a few years ago, with the hope of making some friends and becoming Aes Sedai , when life got somewhat in the way. Situations have resolved and I feel like a whole new person!
I still like long-distance/touring/endurance cycling, still love reading, knitting, and painting (still badly), and I am now a musical theatre nerd - I directed my first community teen musical this last year! - but in the last few years I've also quit my office job and instead managed a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program before deciding to finally do what I've dreamed of for at least a decade: I'm now back at college finishing my BS in Oceanography, and I hope to pursue a PhD in it too! #GoBeavs
Weirdly, and idk how quite to say this because none of my close friends read the WoT books so I don't know that they'd understand, but... during the difficulties my family was going through and sorting my life out again, I read the books constantly (audiobook format mostly), and I found a lot of solace in a sort of "what would an Aes Sedai do" mindset. I feel like I've comported myself through some struggles by thinking that way. And I've really liked thinking of myself that way. So yeah. Happy to be back! Hello! Pls be my friend! lol
