Even after 14 books, this is still the most moving moment for me:
"`The Light shine on you, Lord Ingtar of House Shinowa, and may you find shelter in the palm of the Creator's hand.' He touched Ingtar's shoulder. `The last embrace of the mother welcome you home'
“You didn't listen to me," Lan whispered. One last lesson. The hardest. Demandred struck, and Lan saw his opening. Lan lunged forward placing Demandred's sword point against his own side and ramming himself forward onto it.
"I did not come here to win," Lan whispered, smiling. "I came here to kill you. Death is lighter than a feather."
Demandred's eyes opened wide, and he tried to pull back. Too late. Lan's sword took him straight though the throat.
This. I teared up at this.
When I died.
"The Black Tower protects," Logain found himself saying. "Always."
Ooh, I loved that line as well Rhandy!
One of my favorite lines from one of my favorite characters. He finally found his glory.
I just started working my way through the whole series on audio (again) and right now Logain has been captured. I'm looking forward to following his story arc again now that I know how it all turns out in the end.
