I love that we now have a built in advocate for anyone accused of something. That’s pretty neat. We effectively have a sort of prosecutor vs defense dynamic and that’s long overdue, I think. Good change.

I wanted to add something about this comment, as it came up in another conversation this week. I really hope that people won't see this quite so much as "prosecutor vs. defense," more like how situations are approached in a new way. One, as stated, the Chair/Seat won't be utilized for everything. To my mind, one role checks with the rulebook; the other role checks with the person/persons/folx, etc. And then come together to evaluate each situation on a case by case basis. I really hope it works!

I think the crux is that moderation is not an "adversarial" process; ideally, it's a collaborative one.
