I am confused about saving PM's and would appreciate some way to save them to my computer even if they are not being deleted, because many are very important to me personally, and I would like to save them for personal reasons and when my boxes fill up, I would like to make room without losing other things I want to save. A PM would be fine, if no one else wants to know how to save the contents of their mailboxes.

I would really appreciate it if someone can help me soon, because it will take the whole two days to save things. That is what happens when you get old :yawn

I would also find that useful. If there's a way to save PMs without going in and copying & pasting them into another document, that'd be very helpful.

So for everyone that is interested on how to backup your PMs, basically what you need to do is open up each PM, select the text, copy it and paste it into a word document or email. There is no "download PMs" or such feature.

That being said...

We are importing your PM boxes to the new system. I did mention this before but it may not have been clear and appears to be pretty important to many people.

I have not tested the functionality yet (I cleared the import data to start another fresh test and forgot to check my PM box ), but I will be able to confirm it (including folders and sent PMs). However, I can tell you the import scripts report that 71,984 PMs imported (and 283 failed, for some reason. Still looking in to this).

Also remember that this site will remain active (read-only) for a while after we're settled in. So you'll be able to check for any missing data/PMs. Looking at your folder totals should give an easy estimate if you're missing any, but again, I'll be looking into these "failed" numbers (could be deleted user accounts, etc).
