Why thank you @Ananke Ruadh 🥰

Yes, that is in part what I get from re-reading the books constantly: as my own outlook on life evolves, I discover that I attend to new nuances or themes in the story.
Horribly sorry, our forum bots didn't let me know that you'd responded! But yes, it's a very expansive series with lots of foreshadowing and minor threads that until his death were woven quite well together. I often wonder what Game of Thrones might have been with someone like Jordan at the wheel instead of Martin. At the rate it's going, Martin will ALSO need a supplementary writer to finish it all up.

SPOILER WARNING

I think she was a Yellow only because of how her education, or lack thereof, progressed. No time as a Novice and less than a year as an Accepted meant that she picked an Ajah based on what she wanted to LEARN instead of figuring out where she would have fit best.

Also... In book eight, Elyane states that Nyneave is great at local politics, making me wonder if she would have been destined for the Blue or the Green.

I'd thought that myself- But just like in other series' where personalities are sorted into collective groups, I think personal pre-determination matters as well. I'm just glad OUR Tower lets us change, if we grow into a different person along the way.

No worries 🤗

Yes, that is a good point. As the Green say: if you feel that you're a Green... 💚 and maybe that does evolve through our lifetime.

I think you are spot on (and of course @Ananke Ruadh says it simply and best). Our "who" does evolve. And frankly, I don't think it is always so definitive at any point in time. I know Greens that are PURE GREEN (e.g. @Tree ); but there are other Greens that have yellow, blue, red, white, etc stripes. Some of them may even have more than one or two stripes. And some of them have stripes that are very wide. Of course, this is true for all the Ajahs (I only use Green, b/c you started there) and even the Companies. VC likes to emphasize brotherhood and loyalty; but I have found similar brotherhood and loyalty in DM and MDD. MDD likes to emphasize spirit, mischievousness, and playfulness; but I have found those qualities elsewhere as well (have you met @Wil Cambrae from SDS?).

I guess for me, I recognize that I am a human. Complex and simple at the same time. One-dimensional and multi-dimensional at the same time. And when I interact with others, I don't interact with a Green Sedai - I try to interact with the person at that moment in time, not the label, not their history. Just them.

I admit; I'm not always successful; but I do try. And most folks here have the grace to understand when I fail.

Agree %100. I am a Blue who also has a strong Gray stripe. People change, Ajahs and Companies change, even Tower as a whole changes (which is why you can see a male Aes Sedai right now).
