Social Media is a pretty big weakness for me, so as a Director I am looking for someone who is both excited to share things in person or online, and that are filled with idea's and willing to join me in really developing a strong, active and excited team. They will also be working a little with our TVT Editor. The details are a little on the rougher end so I am also looking for someone that wants to help round out the duties expected from the leader over just being on the team.
This is a very strong TEAM role, so keep this in mind when applying. You won't be doing this alone but like with any team leader you will be held as much accountable for the teams activity as any other Admin. And bribery is always a useful skill.
Social Marketing Manager
Description
The Social Marketing Manager (SMM) is responsible for marketing TarValon.Net to non-members (i.e. external marketing) through social media and other venues. The SMM is an Administrative role and is responsible for the Social Marketing Team. The SMM will work with other staff on the site as needed, including the Graphics Development Team, the Tower Voices, the Department of Events and Conferences, and the Department of Community Outreach.

Job Duties
- Facilitate the Community experience through Social Media, and the SMT.
- Socializing and promoting TarValon.Net Inc at social events, such as DragonCon, JordanCon, etc. (This may include organizing a fansite table.)
- Engaging Individuals through social media such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr.. (Does not include subjects attributed to the Tower Voice duties.)
Expectations
- Must have been a member of TarValon.Net for at least 6 months. Open to any rank; citizen or above.
- Activity level: 15+ hours on the boards per week, ideally 10-20 hours. Please indicate your time availability in your application.
- Have an enjoyment of handling a variety of social media (FB, Tumblr, Twitter, etc).
- Strong initiative and motivational skills, and organizing a team doing a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
