I recently started a reread too, "crack on paper" is an excellent way to describe the books! I hadn't read any of the books since the last one came out & had forgotten how alive and captivating the story is.

It's so good to hear things are going well again! I've thought about you over the years & wondered how you're doing.

Ah! I was waiting for book 11 to come out and forgot half the story so went back, I've been stuck on book 5 for 3 years so nearly at the end now though! I do love them, but sometimes I find he spends a little too much time on detail on not on moving the story forward.

I have heard that. I remember someone once commented on book 8: "Well, Rand got out of a chair and crossed the room in this book." It was well said.

Yeah, the middle books are always the hardest part of my re-reads. Most of books 7-10 can be partially summed up by "And then Perrin got all angsty."
