Serinia Edoras
Aes Sedai
After many, many hours of consideration over several months, I have come to the conclusion that it is time to resign my position as Amyrlin Seat/CEO.
This has been the most difficult decision of my life, and to be honest I am still not entirely comfortable with the idea of stepping down. But this is the right thing to do and committing to this path will enable the board to plan more holistically and set up our community and the incoming leaders for success.
I want to use this opportunity to share with you that in my time in this role I have been more impressed with our community than I could have expected. The amount of time and heart and energy poured into our group and the support provided is immeasurable. Though we may have different ways of expressing it, every person I have interacted with has demonstrated that they have our community’s best interest at heart.
This transition will not happen overnight, and one of the reasons that now is the time to begin this change is to leverage the current energy for continuing the work of our community. I want to use that momentum to continue working with the amazing current team of directors and officers, and to provide a strong transition to the incoming Keeper, CMO, and Amyrlin. The process of identifying and training the next Amyrlin traditionally takes at least 6 months and I look forward to helping with that however I can. Beginning the transition process now will create a stronger community in the future.
I’m grateful to have time to thank so many of you that help support this group every day. By far the best part of this job has been the opportunity to work more closely with so many amazing people in our community, and knowing that those friendships will continue is what has made all of the work worth it.
The core of our mission is to support each other and our communities. I love TarValon.Net and the powerful, positive impact it has on so many lives. I want to do all I can to enable the growth of our important work and our ability to live as Servants of All, and especially as Servants of One Another.
