It'd be fun to do one of those fake trailers, where you splice together footage from other films/shows, add some subtitles and narration and overdub a good piece of music. Now, I really want to do that.

Dude Brand, Jennifer Connely never occurred to me before, but she is fantastic. I think about Naomi Watts (Moiraine), Sam Elliott (Thom), Sienna Miller (Elayne), maybe Garrett Hedlund, Elizabeth Banks...Rooney Mara might be good for Nynaeve or Egwene. Kevin Mckidd also good.

Yeah, the Studio Ghibli-approach could be good. And animation would logistically make the most sense. A film could be a great kick-off with the right director, but I think that it's generally accepted that the best storytelling (long-form especially) at this point is on TV, HBO, AMC and so...
