Has anyone read these? The first three have been released with the final fourth volume due out sometime this year. I love the first book and am curious if this is worth picking up.

I have not read it, but I briefly looked at the first volume in a bookstore awhile back, and the art actually appealed to me, so I'm planning on picking the volumes up at some point. I am pretty picky about graphic novel/comic art, and I didn't expect the EotW adaption to look so good (to me).

I stopped reading the New Spring comic because I didn't like when the artist was changed halfway through the series, his art didn't portray the characters as well as the first artist. So that discouraged me from looking at the graphic novel. Does anyone know if the graphic novel artist is the same artist as the second NS comic artist?

I'm not sure if its the same artist or not, but I actually just ordered these in at work (the bookstore) about a week ago! I'll let everyone you guys know as soon as I get them in and read them what I think. I like what I have seen so far in cover art and such. I'm sure I will end up buying them either way!!!

I have read them, and the only issue I have is that there is too much text. It seems like they just take the writing from the book, and add graphics to it. Some of the text could be explained by graphic instead... This is more and more clear in the second and third volume.

I was checking them out at B&N last week but I did NOT like the art. There were a lot of cases where I said to myself "That's not how I pictured him/her at all!" Just a personal thing, really. :pleased-1: I liked the art on the playing cards a lot better.

But if I didn't have preconceived notions of how people should look...the graphic novels sure would be pretty!

I got EOTW volumes 1-3, and I noticed that the artists are different on each. They have one common, but the other one or two change for the different volumes. I just started them last night. I like some of the artwork, other pieces I am not as fond of, but I think I will still enjoy the visual journey.

Also, Megana, are you talking about the Trading Card Game? Those cards are beautiful!!!

I really liked the graphic novels. I have both Eye of the World and New Spring. I think that's as close to a movie as I would like Wheel of Time to be. :look: It's neat seeing the characters sort of come to life. :)

Megana, my friend got the playing cards and they are just BEAUTIFUL. They're so cool. :geek
