Also, my impression of what an ajah is about may not be quite the impression you get from it. My advice definitely is to give them all a try, and don't neglect even the ones you think are definitely not for you. They may surprise you.
When I started choosing, I "knew" that there was no chance I would want to be a gaidin. :look: :cheeseeni:

For a starting point, you can check out the Tar Valon library and/or on the home page, there is a tab at the top that says Membership Groups (desktop site only; mobile doesn't have it) that gives you a generic rundown.

The first few times i read the books i thought of myself as a Blue. As i continued to read i began to think of myself as more of a Green, so in Randland i would definitely be a Green, but in the real world i'm 100% Gray without a doubt!

I love seeing how people think they will end up somewhere and at the end they find their home in a completely different place :giggle

Glad to hear it Kyredeon! I look forward to seeing you in Gray eventually. :pleased-1:

And I completely agree with Sailea - it is so fun to watch people discover where they belong, particularly when it is a place that wasn't even on their radar to begin with. That was me and Gray for sure. :P

I've given this question a lot of thought recently, and I think I've settled on an unusual answer. If I were in the book universe, I think I would choose Red.
Don't get me wrong, I don't hate men. I'm rather fond of them. That's actually the reason for my choice. There is no question that gentling was necessary.
pre-cleansing, of course
But there was no reason for the men to be treated so harshly. I would make it my mission to seek out young men just coming into their powers and give them emotional support through the transition. There are examples of women who live some time after stilling or being burned out. Why could it not be the same for men? At the very least, if I'm going to take away the Source, they deserve a little compassion. There's no reason that gentling can't be, y'know, gentle.

I've wondered why there wasn't a stedding in Randland with a secure perimeter (wall, guards, wards) where men who could channel would be held by Ogier and humans; and where attempts to involve them in life (education, crafts, arts, families, sports, ..... ) are not attempted. Martine is an example of what could have been done with men who can channel, cut off from the power.

I'm pretty sure that the daughters of these men would have a higher percentage of being able to channel saidar.

Oh, I was looking for this question. This is first question I always wanted to answer. So, green, always Green Ajah. Love men, adventure and travelling, this is my my way of life. But reading books is my second love, so green with brown twist :P

Only thing which bothers me, is a test which says, that I am Black :waggle

Brown without a doubt. My family calls me the book lioness as I devour books of all sorts. Can't get enough reading, research, learning.
