Timelines- Spoilers?

So I was thinking on the series and became curious. It doesn’t seem like much time passes in the series, but it’s hard (for me at least) to tell because of the dark ones touch on the weather. I tried checking the library but didn’t see much.

Can someone tell me how much time passes in the series? It seems like maybe only a year or two, meaning that most of the protagonists are still basically children.

Am I wrong? I haven’t read any of the companion books either. If it’s in there you can just say that, as I plan on reading them after I finish my reread.

I believe it works out to be about 3 years.

TEotW begins as winter is ending (or should have ended)

It's winter again during the events of TDR, when Rand, Perrin & co. are sheltering in the Mountains of Mist.

Then there is a long, hot summer that is finally ended by the bowl of the winds. So it's winter again in Winter's Heart (obviously).

The rest of the series takes place within the next year (I think).

So most of the main Two Rivers folks are under 20?

That makes me forgive Rand and Matrim for a lot of things.
