So, I know this might seem as nitpicking, but it really bothers me this show is not presented in 4K.

I mean, really, this is 2021, almost 2022. Who presents a crown fantasy tv-show in HD anymore? 1080p is so 2005…

I am not sure, but I know that the vast majority of people don’t have 4k televisions, or even the internet to support such.

Did anyone else notice the odd shifting of the background in the scene where Egwene was trying to channel through the blue stone the first time? It was really distracting once I noticed it.

I don’t think that it could cope with 4K, there are times that the cg backgrounds are far too obviously fake. It’s look terrible in 4k

I did but figured it was just our television. Also noticed some color shifts in skin tones. And I don't mean Moraine getting weaker from her wound. Again, maybe it was just our television?

I was concerned it was just our TV as well, so I'm both glad and irritated to find out that is not the case. I hope they more seamless with those types of things as the series continues.

I noticed colour tone shifts too but I figured it was the Amazon app in combo with the TV. I never have that issue on Netflix but very often see colour tone changes on the disney app.

That’s just weird.

Would it have taxed their servers somehow? If so, they might have been using the lower quality to make sure the mass of people watching the premiere didn't mess things up.

it absolutely could have, yes.
But I’d expect a company like Amazon that sells server cloud space (one of the largest, if not THE largest, in the world to do so) wouldn’t have such problems…

My TV keeps putting Motion interpolation back on for it and I have to turn it off.

really effects the look of it big time. Looks so much faker with the cgi
