I donated for the first time in several years a few days ago! :joy

I had avoided it for a while because I was doing plasma for money instead, but I figure I don't need the extra money now, and I haven't been going anyway, so might as well get back to this! Plus, my blood is O- (universal donor) and CMV negative (can be used for babies), so they really like me.

Also, I think the Google Form has a typo. It asks for "county" instead of "country".

We are almost half way through the year and only 7 pints. I know you are all doing your best. We need some brilliant way to get more people to donate. Even just a one time donation... Any ideas???

This would involve the execs, but could we have some sort of contest? The person who donates the most blood starting June 1 (or July 1, or whenever) wins a cool WoT prize? Or we could do it from the start of the year to reward the people who have already been donating. Or something.

Unfortunately it's difficult for us to do a contest of that sort. Many areas have different restrictions on how often a person can donate. There are times when people get turned away because their iron is low, or other extenuating circumstances. The fairness of a contest like that would be difficult to control. However, I will tell you all that I am working on something
