I remember several mentions of women having a worse time at the hands of the myrdraal....and that's before any mention of Shaidar Haran....I always assumed that's what it meant.
Yeah, agreed.

Found another case of rape used as punishment: In the end of book 11, when Tuon has Suroth made da'covale, she is made to "serve the Deathwatch Guard as they wish" until she can be sold.

PS I feel old.

I am now curious about the "other things" Moghedien went through, frankly. Especially given what we do know can be done with the Power during the Aes Sedai trials... What sort of things would a demented Fade come up with? I do however understand that not many people are curious about that kind of thing and can appreciate how much was simply glossed over instead.

I think there is a reason Moghedien is afraid all the time.

Oh, absolutely! But also, that part of my brain definitely wants to know why exactly. Call it morbid curiosity, call it fascination, call it whatever you like honestly. Mmn, may even be information for information's sake.

I can definitely understand that curiosity. It definitely gives me more empathy toward Moghedien, despite all the horrible things she's done herself. She is my favorite Forsaken and I love her to bits for some reasons. I just seem to get her and her fear.
