Hello there,

I am absolutely in love with WoT. I finished my first read-thru of the series last year and actually started a second read, including New Spring this time, and am currently reading thru The Dragon Reborn. I am loving the TV show as well, and am excited to be able to share my love of WoT with my fiancee since she doesn't want to jump into such a long book series but is watching the show with me.

I am a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy, plus all things MCU. I like to cook, especially BBQ, am a hockey and soccer fan, a gamer, and have recently taken up hiking, weightlifting, and karate to lose weight and get in shape.

1. Who is your favorite character in The Wheel of Time and why? My favorite character has to be Mat. Seeing him develop was truly a delight of reading the series.
   
2. How did you find TarValon.Net? Saw Instagram posts. Also, my boss is a member here and she had mentioned it. So I figured I would check it out.
   
3. What do you do? (student? job? hobbies?) Work at home doing call center work.
   
4. Where are you from? What languages do you speak? North Carolina. English and a very small bit of Spanish.
   
5. What is your favorite book or author other than Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time? I love Tolkien. The Hyperion Cantos is a sci-fi series I just finished not too long ago that really blew me away.

Seeing the characters change was such a great part of this series. When I read some reviews of the TV show talking about how they seem kinda simple at the start I can't help but think of course they are, they're designed to grow with the books not be fully fledged on day 1! Can't wait to see them grow on screen.

Hey nice to meet you! I love hockey and bbq too. I just moved back home to Canada after living in WV for 16 years. I get way more hockey but way less BBQ :/

1. Who is your favorite character in The Wheel of Time and why? Hot take but I have always liked Elayne.
   
2. How did you find TarValon.Net? My now husband convinced me to read the books. I would call him every few chapters and explain why it was like LOTR and he HATED it. Eventually I got hooked and wanted to log every Aes Sedai mentioned for my own reference. I got frustrated, cheated, and googled, which is how I found the library here. I was relieved that someone had already done the work for me!
   
3. What do you do? Insurancey stuff
   
4. Where are you from? What languages do you speak? I am from Nova Scotia, met the above mentioned husband online and moved to WV for the above mentioned amount of time (short stint in Ohio,) and now me and the fam are back in Nova Scotia. I speak a skosh of French, enough that I could get by in a French speaking area but probably annoy the locals.
   
5. What is your favorite book or author other than Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time? I like a lot of American mid-century writers, which covers poets, novelists, and short story writers. Not sure I could give a favorite. Knife to my neck I guess I would say Vonnegut.
