Share your thoughts on the book as you read! Put them in spoilers though. I'm excited to see what everyone thinks of it! :D

i have plenty of work to do, considering staying up to work until it hits my kindle...of course, i’m also around here instead of working, but anyway.

I'm so excited to read this. I'm only a quarter into my reread of Oathbringer, sadly, and I made the tough decision to finish that first. I made the decision before Amazon suddenly took Whispersync away from the series, but alas, I was committed by then.

I'm still undecided whether or not I'll wake up for that release party.

Amazon claims there is a problem with my credit card, and refuse to give me the Kindle version of my book.

I have tried to add another credit card. I have tried to remove all the cards and add them again. I tried to buy the book again directly from the Kindle shop.
Still claim to be a problem with my payment. I am extremely annoyed. This card worked previously this year.
And, it has given me the audiobook version, thought that account is based on amazon.uk... So maybe I am forced to only listen to this book :cry

Yes, my physical book may arrive in a few days. But I am leaving for rehabilitation in a few days, and the book is large and may not fit in my trunk :cry

There was a long line at the local Barnes and Nobles to pick up copies of Rhythm of War. That in itself is exciting!

You've finished it already Raam?
That would be impressive.

Turns out my bank don't like the Kindle store. I had to call them to unblock it. I can maybe buy the book tomorrow :(

I have already listened to the Prologue
Wow, Gavilar really was a bad dude. He wanted to open Braize again? That sounds like a bad idea. Also, :balefire don't talk to Navani that way!

The most gut-wrenching moment though, was when she described Jasnah sitting there, visibly shaken. It really showed how affected she was. She was also fairly young at this time.

About five chapters in and I am absolutely loving the banter between Kaladin and Syl!

So far, I am underwhelmed. I feel like the whole first part of the book was just a way to catch up to what has happened in the year that has passed. Shallans triple personality is scary. I wonder, is the things she is hiding from "just" the murder of her mother and the friend, or is it something more? It looks like we are doing a typical Sanderson book, everything will go crazy in the last part.

I liked it. I'd read the first couple of hundred of pages as they were released, but managed to ration myself so it took a couple of days to finish.
Some things happened that I hadn't expected at all, some things I did expect. Can't think of anything I was specifically expecting that didn't happen

Also
I really can’t stand Lirin. He is so unpleasantly self righteous

I somehow have hard time concentrating on the book. Usually I would have read it thrice by now, but I'm maybe a quarter in if that. And the book is so heavy!

I agree Natalya. I have just finished part four, and while interesting things are happening, it doesn't captivate me like Oathbringer and Words of Radiance did.

Ok, finished the book.
Yeah, honestly, not one of Sandersons better books. It's not bad, and I may feel different reading it again, but I found it a bit predictable. If Venli had ended up powering the Tower again, but both types of Light, THAT would have been unexpected.
And Lirin definitely need to get over himself. I suspect there is a lot of hurt behind his conviction though. Something to do with Hesina's family.
Most of this book seemed to lead up to the main event, which will happen in the NEXT book :tug
For a long period in this book I was just thinking oh, get ON with it already. Especially Adolin's trial.
