I hope it's alright if I ask a question about forum etiquette here.:)

What is the option of reviving old threads? If I have a topic I want to talk about and the forum search shows a thread from 2012-2013.
Should I continue that thread, or start a new one?

Either is welcome but some find joy in gravedigging threads :look:

If you're not meant to post in a thread it'll be locked

I make the decision on a thread-to-thread basis. Does the previous conversation match the context of what I'm about to post? Are there a lot of previous posts that people would need to read to keep up with the conversation? Is my "new" topic big enough to carry a discussion thread by itself or does it need a boost from a larger thread?

For me, it's fairly subjective but can go either way.
