Dear Members of TarValon.Net—
When I took the position of Cordamora, I knew that I was opening myself up to attacks from members of the site, which I was prepared to handle in exchange for the opportunity to serve. I did not, however, anticipate that personal attacks would be taken public in a manner that could jeopardize my career and life outside of TVN. Because of recent public allegations on external platforms, though, I must unfortunately announce that I am stepping down as Cordamora.
I am so sorry that I need to make this decision. I was thrilled to be able to serve y’all in this role, and I know that resigning leaves many people in the lurch. I am deeply grieved that my tenure as an Officer needed to end so soon and in this manner. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Board for giving me this opportunity, to Cassie and Erin for welcoming me so warmly as an Officer, and to everyone who has helped me out as I tried to figure out what I was doing. I really did not want for things to end this way.
Please know that, while I needed to make this decision to protect myself, I still believe in the essential goodness of this community and am so thankful for all the love y’all have given me over my time here. I look forward to continuing to encourage kindness, grace, and increased potato consumption as a plain ol’ member.
