Ravens?

So I just started a re-read and downloaded EoTW on kindle. To my surprise prior to the Prologue there is a chapter Id never heard of before entitled Earlier: Ravens. It focuses on Egwene at age 9.

Where did this come from? Is it by Robert Jordan? Why haven’t I heard of this before ? whatwhat:scratch:scratch:scratch

Ravens was written by Robert Jordan when The Eye of the World was split in two parts and adapted for a Young Adult audience.

Thanks for the info. Nadezdha. I looked it up in the library and it just has a plot summary but no background info like that. Good to know where it comes from.

Thanks @Toral Delvar I saw that. It would be helpful to update the article with a bit of information on how it came that Jordan wrote it, where it has been published etc. If I could find actual confirmation of that stuff I’d volunteer to do a revision myself.

The article is a summary of the Prologue, so it will not include information about when and why it was published etc.
