As you've probably heard already, Wheel of Time TV Show screenwriter Rafe Judkins announced he'll be doing a Q&A session next Wed, 9/12.

We will, of course, have our own question on the official TV.net twitter account. However, we also want to harness the power of this community to get ALL our questions answered (or, at the very least, get our questions WAFO'd).

So... you might be wondering:

What time will the Q&A be in MY time zone?!
  1. Clicky this linky: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html?iso=20180912T160000&p1=234
  2. Where it says "add another city or time zone", add YOUR city or time zone.
  3. ????
  4. Profit!
I don't have a Twitter account, can I still ask Rafe a question?
Well, yes, but only if you create a Twitter account :p

OK, fine, how do I do this Twitter thing?
  • Go to twitter.com, hit the sign up button, and follow the directions there.
  • Once you have your account, log in.
  • To follow Rafe:
    • On the top right of your home page (the page you're at when you first log in), go to the search bar
    • type in @rafejudkins and click on the link that shows up under the search bar
    • this will take you to Rafe's page. On the right side of the page there should be a button that says "follow"
    • Click that and now you'll be able to see his posts in your feed.
  • You can follow us by doing the same thing but searching for @tarvalon instead
In your home tab, you'll now see tweets that either Rafe or we have posted.
  • To reply to a tweet, click the speech bubble under the tweet itself.
  • To like a tweet, click the heart under the tweet.
  • To retweet a tweet, click the button that looks like a square made of two arrows.
Why can't you just ask a question for me?
Rafe specifically said one question per person. So if you want to ask a question, you gotta make an account. Sorry.

I don't want to ask a question but I want to see what other people ask!
OK, no problem. We will be live tracking all the questions and posting them and their answers on a library page. We'll make sure to post a link once we're closer to the date. You can also follow along on Twitter without having an actual account. Just go to Rafe's page, here: https://twitter.com/rafejudkins

How to ask questions on the day of the Q&A:
Twitter has a limit of 280 characters per post. You could technically ask a multi-post question, I suppose, but it's probably best to keep it brief. Don't be afraid to use abbreviations and stuff to make your post fit in the character limit. Feel free to ask for help here on how to make your post fit.
  1. Make sure you post your question within the designated hour!
  2. Tag Rafe AND use the hashtag he specifies for the Q&A session (we don't know what this is yet but we'll let you know as soon as we do)
  3. Add our own hashtag, #TarValon, to your tweet if you have the room for it so we can track each other's questions!
  4. Be gracious! This is absolutely something Rafe does not have to do but he clearly cares about the fan base and community. Make sure to thank him whether or not you find the answer satisfying.
  5. Read the other questions and answers! This is sure to be an awesomely fun event.
Here's an example tweet:
Hi @rafejudkins! Moiraine is my fave char and I was wondering, if you could pick any actress to play her, who would be your choice? Thanks so much!
#tarvalon #rafesQAtag

Also, if you do get WAFO'd, let us know by posting a screenshot of it and we'll give you a consolatory "I got WAFO'd by Rafe" sig button ;)

And most importantly, BUT WHAT DO I ASK??? AAAAAHHHHHHH!
Head over to the thread Jeffan made here and bounce ideas off of each other! He'll be keeping track of questions people come up with in the first post of the thread for easy reference.

Feel free to post here with any questions, comments, concerns you have about the Q&A session and the logistics thereof. If you wanna chat about what actual questions to ask Rafe, head over the other thread: https://www.tarvalon.net/index.php?threads/twitter-q-a-with-screenwriter-rafe-judkins.32067/
