Question about offering a service

If I were to, say, accept commissions as an avatar artist, would it be acceptable to post information about that in graphic requests?

I know my art meets avatar standards, and people are always looking, so I thought peeps might like to know the option exists. It's just I can't offer it for free and I can't remember what the rules are for advertising commissions.

I emailed the Keeper about adding personal business related links when I first added them in my sig area. Something similar might be required for actual threads.
