Hello! It's probably not very helpful to know, but you're not alone in feeling like it is a bit difficult to just jump in. I was gone for ages, and lurked a lot before that, and only jumped back in again now after the new boards came up. And it's still tricky. But that's the nice thing about new boards, it feels a bit less overwhelming, and it might be a bit easier to find something that suits you when there's a bit less of everything.
