In Memory of Rowanne al'Maeve

It is my incredibly sad duty to share with everyone that Rowanne al'Maeve of the Gray Ajah passed away suddenly on Sunday May 7, 2023.

​

I will update everyone if I hear of any specific wishes from her children for any charities that we can contribute to in her memory.

Rowanne is the reason that I joined the tower. She was my best friend for a long time and while we grew apart in recent years I still love her as a first sister. I will miss her beyond any words.

Rowanne was one of my friends during my first few years on the site in particular. I haven't seen her in a long time, but I still feel the loss.

May Rowanne shelter in the palm of the Creator's hand, and may the last embrace of the Mother welcome her home.

I knew Ro for a long time from chat and the boards and met her many times at Colorado events. I miss her wit and tenacity.
I remember at one Denver event she got bored hanging out in the main room and asked me if I'd like to go out and spar with the sword. I honestly didn't know anything about the blade other than what I'd seen on tv, and she corrected me a couple of times and showed me something about the sword—enough for me not to be dangerous to myself or to others. I will miss her.

I did not know her well, but remember when I noticed that she started to become more active again last year. So although I am saddened, it is nice to have what fond memories I do have.
