We've run into a snag with PayPal, so that is no longer an avenue for payments and donations to the Tower. In it's place, Owena and I have managed to set up a Zelle direct to the Tower Wells Fargo account. The Zelle tag is tarvalonnet and the email associated with it is Amyrlin@tarvalon.net. We should be able to provide a QR code as well, but we're still trying to figure that out. If you have a donation or payment to send in, please use Zelle and let myself and Owena know if you have any issues with it.

We have been made aware that Zelle is likely not to work for any payments outside the US. We're looking into options to cover international payments. If you have suggestions, please let us know.

UPDATE: PayPal issues have been resolved and PayPal is now working again.

Do we use Cash App or Venmo?

How will we be able to make payments if we would like to use a credit card, and do not have Zelle?

I believe we are still working to figure that out, Ajailyn

Thanks! I checked my credit card and it doesn't have access to Zelle.. that's why I asked :)

I'm curious as to the nature of the snag... Cuz' I use paypall to, both for paying things and receiving things. I haven't had any notifications.

The snag was that they decided to flag a donation as suspicious and we're having to work through clearing that up. Owena is currently working through that and hopefully that will resolve the problem with PayPal, but we're looking at alternatives just in case and for the interim.

Venmo doesn't exist in Canada so that won't work for some or all of our international folks.

Huzzah!!

Good, because I don't know any other way to pay to international accounts without a lot of paperwork and fees...

@Cassie Dainar and @Owena al'Saturni - I've been trying to use Paypal to donate to the site fundraiser, but Paypal keeps telling me that Tarvalon.net is unable to accept payments right now. Might want to take a look and see what's up.

Were you using the button on the donation page, or going directly through PayPal? I had tested the donation button and was disturbed to receive that same message, but when I looked into it, it was working for others, (I had asked Qam to check it out) and I tried a few hours later and it mysteriously worked perfectly and there was no obvious reason for why it wasn't working or how to fix it.

but I guess it may have had something to do with the way PayPal is incorporated on that page, and perhaps if you can simply log into PayPal and send money to payable@tarvalon.net then it might avoid the problem. argh!

of course if Cassie or Owena have any more insights than great.

in any case, thank you for attempting to donate and for posting here - possibly others are having problems too - and I definitely want to make sure donations are working for everyone!

edit to add: I was literally just trying to make a donation to another organization this evening and when I clicked on their "donate" button, the first thing that happened was Paypal telling me "This organization's page is broken." then I refreshed and tried again and the same button worked just fine. that is different from the message I got on the TV page but just another data point. sigh.

Hey @Siusane al'Cuyler - I was going through my paypal page. I'll try again, though! :)

ETA: Tried again, and it says that country I'm trying to send to can't receive this payment. Weird stuff going on! Again, trying through my paypal page.

PayPal all of a sudden had a checkmark next to "don't allow payments from other countries".

I unchecked it and hopefully that clears it up.

That it did! Thank you! :)
