So glad you've joined us here!

PS. You joined on the first day of one of our two annual "free weeks." That means many of us will have special avatars and signatures, and there will be all sorts of unusual shenaningans going on. Don't be scared off! This free week, called Shaoman, started today (10/22) and lasts until Nov. 2. Then things go back to normal. :)

^ I'm glad this was already pointed out, otherwise, we look a little...odd? Actually Tar Valon net is a warm and friendly place as I'm sure you have noticed. Keep on reading the WOT books, they get a little sluggish between 9-11 but then pick up (well, that's my opinion anyway). Feel free to send me a visitor message if you need anything!

I don't know... don't they kick? And those pink babies are just creepy...
Yeah, they do. That's one reason they scare me. (Another is that if a car hits a kangaroo, the kangaroo always wins. Kangaroos are a major cause of serious car accidents on country roads.)

Still, there are places where you can hand-feed them. And if that's not quite your thing, they can feed you instead! :p Kangaroo meat is available in pretty much any supermarket here... it's flavourful, lean, slightly gamey, and way more environmentally-friendly than beef ;)

I'm not sure I believe you guys about the kangaroo meat... I'm not even sure I'd try it.

My favourite meat on a bbq is sheep. Followed by beef, I guess. Yours?

Hi Leonie! Yes, I love that it's so active here. It's so much fun.

Hi Nandi Sedai. Thank you.

Hi Tsubasa Sedai, thank you.

You know, Alyccea, you have strange taste in food. Kangaroo... Wolf... Have you tried Zebra or Ostrich? How about frog legs and chicken feet?

I've had frog legs and chicken feet - the chicken feet were just skin and bones, and the frog legs tasted like chicken wings. :cheeseeni: I haven't actually eaten wolf :look: nor have I tried Razor or Ostrich. Have you tried them? What are they like?

(Kangaroo is really not that weird, though. And like I said, it's environmentally-friendly. Kangaroo reproduce relatively quickly and they are abundant. They consume very little water and produce hardly any methane. Their meat is naturally lean, naturally grass-fed, and has an incredible flavour. And it's cheap. I highly recommend it. The only caveat is that, because it is so lean, it's important not to cook it past medium or it starts to become tough. But I think that's true of most game.)

Is that Ruby in your siggy?

I've had chicken feet - I agree with you. Not had frog legs, nor any of the others. I have had tongue (beef) and zebra. It didn't taste too odd. Not something I'll have again really though.

I haven't had tongue since I was little and my mother made me. I don't remember liking it very much, although now that I'm grown up my tastes have probably changed. Heart meat is quite good, so I assume tongue would be ok as well. I've had kidney but I found it to be pretty gross. Have you had escargot? Shellfish? Octopus?

As for my siggy... yes, I believe that is Ruby, though I haven't actually watched Once Upon A Time  It's just something I'm wearing to go with my Shaoman costume. ;)

No regrets!
