Overview
This position is an Executive position and as such will work closely with the Keeper, Cordamora, and Amyrlin. This Director will handle all issues that pop up with our chat ops and the appropriate forum mods.
Requirements
--must be a Senior Member with at least one current year good standing.
--must be willing and able to spend at least 15 hours a week handling Departmental issues. Every three months around the full moon, this may be closer to 25.
--must have chat operator experience or willingness to learn, and must have Xenforo forum moderator experience or willingness to learn. You must have experience with at least one of these. (Discord moderation experience is a plus but not required, although be prepared to learn it).
--must be extremely organized, especially with regards to working with department Admins on hiring and replacement of mods and ops to avoid burnout.
--must be able to employ tact and diplomacy, even with people you don't necessarily like or respect.
--must be a self-starter.
--be available for quarterly Admin meetings.
Duties
--handle or approve hiring for all roles within the department, including three new Admin ‘manager’ roles for Discord and Forum moderation.
--will be third in line for all issues that pop up in community moderation (first in line is op/mod, second is team Admin, third is Director).
--will make decisions as to appropriateness of consequences for actions that occur in forums, Discord or in chat (with advisement from Keeper, Cordamora, and Amyrlin) in a timely manner.
--will enact temporary bans to forums (particularly CF) and chat
--will keep records of all issues brought to light.
--serve as sounding board for Amyrlin, Cordamora, and Keeper as an Executive.
--work with other Directors, particularly the Director of Community Outreach, for forum and chat events.
--will review any complaints about how issues have been handled by ops/mods that are not sufficiently resolved by the appropriate Admin role.
