Hi to the tower (I hope to add this correct)
I am Caia from Germany and just on my first reading of WoT - I came to the series, because I was in a higly urge for something new.
I read a lot of fantasy, my favorite series is Osten Ard (starting with Memory, Sorroy and Thorn, first voluem The Dragonbone Chair) by Tad Williams (my first read of this series was back in the 90s, yes, I am a bit of the older side of life). It is my all time favorite and I recently started a podcast about this series (sorry, only in German, but if you are intrested, I will point you there!)
So I finished the last volume of The last King of Osten Ard and was pondering, what to read next. Unfortunately, ASOIAF isn't finished yet and I wanted a series, which is complete, so I choose WoT. I watches season 1 of the Amazon show a couple of years ago and liked it, but the books are way more better! Am nearly to finish EotW and really, I bought all 15 volumes at once for my kindle.... (silly, but I thought it was worth a try!)
I am really excited about this series, I love it a lot - and because I almost immidiatley searched for a podcast for this, I found The Wheel weaves - i love this show, bc it helps me to catch all those little tidbits I am missing (because of rushing through the books and bc I am a non native English speaker...)
My real live is good for listening to podcasts - I am a part time DHL deliverer for mail and parcels, I own a small online store for yarn in Germany and I design knit wear - knitting and podcasts are a great combination!
Happy to be here, am excited to get to know y'all and will dip my toes in!
