Hi! My name is Analiese, or just Ana, as my old roomies, The Accents, called me. I think I was purged, because I used to be an Accepted, and now I'm a visitor. Life got in the way and I was gone for a while. I'm actually kind of glad to start over, if I can. I'm not too clear on the rules. Anyway a bit about me:
I am almost 31 (in like a week and a half). I am an Army Brat, and married to a wonderful man who also served, named Steven. He has been out for a few years now, and I think the readjustment to civilian life and moving were part of what contributed to my absence here. It all just got overwhelming for both of us for a while and we were kind of in a holding pattern for a while there.
Anyway, we have two children. Isa, or Isobel, is 13 and blonde and sassy and I imagine that if she were alive back when the Beatles were huge in the sixties, she would have been one of the girls screaming and fainting in the aisles. I mean, I fangirl too, but never with the kind of abandon that she shows when confronted with The Walking Dead or 21 Pilots.
Corbin is almost 7 and just started 1st grade. He wants to be a youtube gamer and a scientist when he grows up. He wants to make a time machine.
I am a stay at home mom, though I am working on getting a job as a medical coder or biller so that I can work from home and take some of the burden off my husband while still being available for him and my kids.
My favorite character in Wheel of Time would have to be Mat Cauthon. He reminds me so much of important men in my life and he really is an amazing guy. If he was a real life person, I would want to be his friend. I also really like Lan, for some of the same reasons that I like Mat. In fact, if you combined Mat and Lan together, you would get my dad and my husband's personalities perfectly. My favorite women in WoT are Birgitte, Nynaeve, and Moiraine, although I like most of them well enough. I'm actually playing a character in D&D named Birgitta Cauthon, and I am kind of basing her on Mat and Birgitte. She is a rogue fighter.
I found it for the first time back in like 05ish, but I was on student computers and I couldn't make a profile. About 6 years ago, I came back to try again. I had been a member of Wotmania for its last few years, and though I made a profile, I had technical difficulties and a lot of personal issues so making a go of it then was so not happening. Finally I tried again a few years ago and everything was going well, I thought. I was going to school and it seemed like we could finally catch our breath after my husband got injured on his last tour of duty. Once everything calmed down, I shut down. It was found that I have PTSD due to things that happened to me during my first marriage. It, along with my depression, just kind of all caught up with me. It finally came to a head last winter and I started a new medication for anxiety, and now I am recovering. I feel better than I have in years. I'm still a work in progress, and I'm not promising that there won't be further lapses, but I will do my best.
I am a stay at home wife and mother in Alexandria, Louisiana. My husband works in a factory in the next town. We play D&D with a group of friends every other Sunday, and my favorite video game is Mass Effect. I also love the Elder Scrolls games. I don't like playing online though. If I'm gonna play with people, I want to have them in the same room. It's more fun that way. I love to read, and I have gotten into the whole coloring thing. It helps with everything. I also love watching American Ninja Warrior, and anything fantasy, or scifi, and most horror. I also like to cross stitch, though I haven't done that in years. I also belly dance.
Ummmm, I...see, that is like asking me which kid is my favorite. I am absurdly attached to my books and I have over 1000. I like a bit of everything.
So yeah, That is me and wow, I wrote a lot. Sorry about the infodump. I look forward to meeting friends, old and new, as I start over in Tar Valon.
