I loved My Side of the Mountain, that is such a great book. (I hoped my kid would read it but we have pet rabbits and of course we know that some people eat rabbits, but reading anything where a bunny might get hurt is not an option! which is too bad because I think they would like it overall...)

my mother grew up in Indiana but I haven't been back in quite awhile. I will fix that one of these days...

Oh, yeah, I understand about the bunny. But I am glad to find another fan of the book! As for Indiana, depending on where in Indiana your mother grew up, you may not be missing much

haha, i would go back for the people, just to keep up with that side of the family. although i also have fond memories of family reunions in…Brown County State Park I believe it was. and it would be nice to go there again.

i did have a cousin that I hadn’t seen in a looong visit me in Texas about this time last year.

Oh, Brown County is gorgeous, especially in the fall. I'm originally from Lafayette, which does not have a lot going on, outside of Purdue University.
