Being ta'veren didn't work that way. Light! It didn't, did it? He couldn't bend the very Pattern to his will, could he?
And yet, meeting his eyes, she did believe. Against all logic, she looked in those eyes and knew that if she didn’t leave, she would die.

Always loved that scene.

When Rand tries to bring the girl back from the dead in TDR. I wouldnt say favourite but that part always hits hard. Just this image of a dead girl being lifted up by an invisible force and blood spraying out of her dead body as Rand cries in vain to make her live despite the power coursing through his veins, whilst around them Trollocs and Defenders wage epic battles in twos and threes.

"Breathe. She has to breathe. Heart. Has to beat. Live. Live, burn you!. I didn't mean to be too late. She has to live!"

One of my favorite parts of the series is when Moiraine tells the story of Manetheren to the people of The Two Rivers.
"The men of Manetheren were a thorn to the dark one's foot and a bramble to his hand. Sing of Manetheren, that would never bend the knee to the shadow. Sing of Manetheren, the sword that could not be broken."
It was an awe-inspiring story!

Part of what I love about that is that it nails the cadence and style of epic chants in old poetry and literature. That is the part that really gives me chills--the tragic story and the realness of the manner in which it is told.

Honestly anything that comes out of mat’s mouth is going to be strangely insightful, highly relatable, or just downright hilarious.

Very true, especially in Towers of Midnight.
