Episode 1: “Leavetaking”
Episode 2: “Shadow’s Waiting”
Episode 3: “A Place of Safety”
Episode 4: “The Dragon Reborn”
Episode 5: “Blood Calls Blood”
Episode 6: “The Flame of Tar Valon”
We can probably also guess what the title refers to
Leavetaking - leaving Emmond's Field
Shadow's Waiting - Shadar Logoth
A Place of Safety - Probably Fal Dara, there wasn't really anywhere else
The Dragon Reborn - The Eye of the World
I can't quite picture how they would break it down - they could for instance cut the scene where Rand meets Morgase and Elaida, but they'd need another reason for her to be obsessed with him - maybe have her be one of the ones that goes to Fal Dara
The chapter in the book that is called a place of safety refers to Perrin, Eqwene and Elyas running from the ravens to the Stedding on their way to Caemlyn. But it may of course be something else here...
Right! of course. They probably need to Elyas so that Perrin can learn about wolves. Maybe they could cut the Tua'athon out entirely, at least then we'd lose the Aram storyline, though the impact of the Aiel abandoning the Way of the Leaf wouldn't be as strong as if we'd seen it already
The title could be from the start of end of the episode, or anywhere in between
It would seem that the Trakands are not cast (at least for first season). Nor Elyas. So I am guessing they'd be cutting off those storylines. Neither is Elaida. Though it's possible they'd merge her with another character (Liandrin perhaps - yikes).
Anyhow. This really seems to indicate the first 4 episodes would cover Eye of the World till the end (skipping some story lines). And 5,6 clearly seem like the first 10 chapters of the Great Hunt. Blood Calls Blood seems to indicate the dark prophecy and the raid in Fal Dara. And The Flame of Tar Valon is the Amylin. I am glad we'd meet Siuan Sanche in the first season.
Elayne is cast. So she'll show up in season 2, so will we meet her in the Tower or Caemlyn? So guess Elaida shows up at same time. We have a few that could be her, so we just have to wait for news or see ourself in season 2.
Perrin need a human guide, so we'll see who that person is. So I doubt Elyas are cut out.
I don't think the episodes are clearly split - 4 episodes from book 1 and 4 episodes from book 2 or whatever, I think there will a bit of both books in the whole first season (like a mix of both books, but also a bit of the third? and maybe New Spring?) At least I think I remember that's what Rafe said in an interview on Instagram
From what I've read, the release is ANTICIPATED on Nov. 19 at midnight GMT. So that means the actual release in YOUR time zone could be on Nov. 18 or 19 depending where in the world you live. Where I am, it SHOULD come out at 5pm on Nov. 18. Fingers crossed that will happen, because we've already planned a get-together for that evening!
I thought about planning it for the weekend but I'm so afraid I'll see a spoiler, and besides I've been waiting FOREVER to see this on the screen so I don't want to wait even a day once it is actually out. I'm anxiously watching the Prime site for confirmation that my time zone thing estimate is correct.
Wow that's so weird that they are advertising it for November 19, but it's actually not going to drop on that day :scratch especially in the US, I would imagine they would drop it on Nov 19 in the US, but it might be morning in Australia for example. Just because of number of viewers (I am obviously guessing here, but US is probably the largest audience)
