Humble Bundle has a book bundle at the moment, 26 Dragonlance books for $18. I am considering getting them, but I only found two reviews on YouTube, and the Goodreads reviews seem to be all over the place.

Anyone care to chime in if you have read any of them? I'm trying to decide to buy the bundle or not.

I linked the book bundle above if anyone is curious what I mean by this. I have gotten some really good bundle deals in the past with this site.

That bundle has a lot of Weis and Hickman. I haven't read all of their Dragonlance but almost all the Dragonlance that I have read is theirs. They do amazing work and so that is an emphatic yes from me.

I loved those books back in the day, but I haven't read them to know if they stand the test of time. That said, I still remember several of the characters very well!

I think I'm going to grab it. Ael loves Dragonlance and has always wanted me to read them. That's a super amazing deal for that many novels!

Does anyone know if these books can be read/viewed on Kindle, now that Kindle made some behind the scenes changes? If yes, I'll probably get the bundle too, in case I ever want to revist old friends.

Hmm. Excellent question. I don't use my actual Kindle anymore so I don't know if I'd be able to tell just from the app?

Yes, you still can. You have to download software called Calibre.

Then you connect your kindle via wire, and convert the epub books to mobi. Then there will be a button at the top of Calibre that says send to library and you select the documents section under Kindle.

edit: you will have to highlight all 26 books in calibre then do "bulk convert" from epub to mobi

edit 2: also, my kindle is in airplane mode for last 3 months, so doesn't have the latest updates, so it still allows me to do this, I am not sure if the most recent kindle updates override this or not... if they do, my Kindle is staying in airplane mode forever...

I read the first book, and while I didn't find it exceptional, I enjoyed it enough that I'd consider reading more when I have more free time. $18 for 26 books is a great deal, so I say go for it!
