I agree completely. Just because he strikes off on his own doesn’t mean he remains that way. There’s a lot of room for them to get back to TGH’s storyline in a short time.
I can understand 90% of the changes and understand that the first book was a mess at the end, even on fourth or fifth read.

Okay, on my second rewatch now. I seem to be of the unpopular opinion that Barney Harris is amazing.

1) Casting is awesome all around
2) There’s nothing that’s been CHANGED so far that I can’t understand for the sake of translating to television or making character story arcs...
It'll explain it a little later in the book, but Elayne made the ter'angreal for Moghedien. Nynaeve made forkroot in tel'aran'rhiod which knocked out Moghedien long enough to get back into the real world and trap her with the a'dam.
