I do however, disagree with your comments about Tuon. I don't want to say anything that might be spoilerish, but I've always thought of her as a strong, beautiful woman...
I also agree with Aulrick. That's the whole reason Rand decides not to kill the Dark One in the end. His idea of the world completely without the Dark One after the Last Battle simply doesn't work because it doesn't give people a choice of how to live their lives and it takes away a part of them...
