Hi all
In the last year I've had to resort to rescuing free food and so on. So I decided to pay it forward and volunteer as a food hero.
Basically shops that have signed up with Olio give away surplus food which has a use buy date expiring.
Then I post things on the app and people collect. I also donate personal items, such as pasta and tins.
This app not only deals with combating food waste but also giving away items, lending or selling.

It's available in most countries sadly not America and other places.
I've had to rely on food banks and people's generosity, so it's good to give back to the community.

Awesome idea for an app! There is a similar one Stateside called Too Good To Go: End Food Waste, fortunately. I don't know how well it works, but glad to know something similar is available here, too. Thank you for sharing things like this are available in the UK!

Would anyone like to share similar apps or programs available in your country?

I have Too Good to Go as well, some places are well worth the effort with that. Got lots for cheaper.
